Which Star is shining brightest and why?

If you’ve ever wondered where the Plough is or even if you already know, why not come along to a super cosmic evening at Moore Lane Eco Centre on Monday 23rd October 2017.

The event will begin with an illustrated presentation from a local skywatcher with vast experience of hosting stargazing activities. Participants will then get a chance to view the stars from Moore Lane Park (weather permitting). Event starts 6.30pm until appriximately 8.30pm. Newton Aycliffe Firework Display

September 29th, 2017

Great Aycliffe Town Council’s Annual Fireworks Display will be held on Sunday 5th November 2017

  • 5.30pm – Kiddies Fairground
  • 7.00pm – Beacon will be lit
  • 7.15pm – Fireworks Display

This event is FREE, however those wishing to attend must apply for a wristband.

To be eligible for a wristband you must:

  • Reside in the Parish of Great Aycliffe
  • Supply proof of your address with a utility bill or driving licence

One person may apply for their family’s wristbands, please note there is a
limited number of wristbands available.

You will be able to apply for your wristbands by bringing the above documents to the Oak Leaf Sports Complex from Friday 20th October until Thursday 2nd November 2017. The wristbands are available from Reception between 9.30 am until 9.00 pm.

Please note No Wristband, No entry.
