Following the success of last year’s Party in the Park (organised as part of the Aycliffe Festival) a further event has been organised for Friday 14th July from 7pm until 10pm in the Town Park.

Working in partnership with the Durham Brass Festival, the event will be host to a variety of brass bands and vocalists from around the world with performances across a range of genres including jazz, blues, rock, pop, indie, traditional and classical.

This year’s festival will welcome acts including the Grammy nominated Hot 8 Brass Band, the multi-award winning Fairey Brass Band, Oompah Brass, New York Brass Band, Funky Style Brass, Beat ‘n Blow, Always Marching Band and Les Traîne-Savates.  These acts push the boundaries of brass bands with audience involvement and interaction between the public and performers.

If you would like a preview of what to expect, there will be a roving performance around the Tesco area the week before the party takes place.
