The Next Step service consists of 3 channels:
- a web based information service - DirectGov: Next Step
- a national telephone helpline on 0800 100 900
- A face to face service managed in the North East by CfBT Education Trust. This channel is available to all clients aged 19+ and 18+ if they are a customer of Jobcentre Plus.
In the North East the service is delivered in over 500 outreach locations, as well as on employers’ premises, and in the 4 Next Step centres in Bishop Auckland, Felling, Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
