Appointment of Accountancy Assistant
Grade 2(ii) Salary Scale Points 15 to 17
£17,972 to £18,672 per annum
37 Hours per Week
Applications are invited for the above post within the Finance Section.
The Accountancy Assistant post has specific responsibility for the payment of invoices and maintenance of the Council’s purchase ledger and the collection, banking and reconciliation of Golf Complex income, but also provides cover and support in other areas including payroll, sales ledger and cashbook.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Mathematics, together with at least six months experience within a finance setting, preferably with responsibility for accounts payable and income collection processes. Knowledge of the Pegasus Opera 3 financial management system would also be desirable
An accountancy related qualification such as AAT would be helpful, although this post would also be ideal for a candidate wishing to undertake this qualification via day release training.
A full driving licence is required.
