The Council elects a Town Mayor (Chairman of the Council) from among its members and the Mayor elected for the municipal year 2022 – 2023 is Councillor Ken Robson.

The Mayor will be fundraising during his year and his chosen charities are:

Together 21

Together 21 provides a wide range of fun learning activities to help children and young people, aged 0 – 17 with Down Syndrome to develop key skills.

Wishing Well

Wishing Well promote and provide leisure and social opportunities for people with learning difficulties.

Charity Event

At the Big Club Sheraton Road Newton Aycliffe DL5 5NU on Friday 18th November 7pm – 11pm.  Featuring music from ‘Ocean’.  Tickets cost £3, contact 01325 300700 to reserve your place.
