Great Aycliffe Town Council is proud to host a number of free annual events for the community. As a town council we work with local entertainers, organisations and businesses to bring exciting and magical events for everyone, young and old. We also organise commemorate events marking important dates in our national calendar.

Please see below a list of the annual events Great Aycliffe Town Council organise:

  • Fun in the Park
  • Santa Letters
  • Santa Tours
  • Senior Citizens’ Excursions 

In 2023 we will also be organising two special events, one to celebrate the King’s Coronation and the other to wish Newton Aycliffe a Happy 75th Birthday.

Some funding for your own community events is available from the Council, please contact us for more information.

We also help voluntary organisations to plan some events, e.g. 10k and Fun Run.
