Fun in the Park is a series of events aimed at children between 3 to 8 years, which take place in 8 of our parks during the school summer holidays, the fun starts at 11 am – 3 pm. The event is organised by Great Aycliffe Town Council and provides free entertainment to families. There will be side stalls, body art, food vans and ice cream vans which will incur a fee. The schedule for Fun in the Parks 2025
Town Park – Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee, there will be fairground rides including a funhouse, small ferris wheel and tea cups , there will also be an inflatable play bed and slide, along with a climbing wall and cave bus. We will also be entertained with big bubbles fun.
Simpasture Park – Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee, there will be 2 small fairground rides, a fun house, ferris wheel, the clown around inflatable and bumpy carz. We will also be receiving a visit from the bubble man and family fun with Crazy Golf!
Moore Lane Park – This is our circus themed park, Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee, there will be circus entertainers providing a workshop giving children the opportunity to learn circus skills and entertaining the crowds with their amazing talent. There will be two small fairground rides, the clown around inflatable and bungee trampolines. The children will also be able to have fun with big bubbles!
Oak Leaf Sports Complex Field – This is our animal themed park, Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee with his magic show, there will be 2 x small fairground rides, a large inflatable assault course and the bumpy carz. The Animals About Town will be popping along with their farmyard animals and other furry and feathered friends. There will also be a new edition to the park, Animal Story, with their display of wild and exotic creatures. We will also be receiving a visit from the Bubble Man!
St Oswald’s Park – Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee, there will be 2 x small fairground rides and clown around inflatable. Dinosaurs will be roaming freely in the park, so get ready for a prehistoric adventure! The children will also be able to have fun with big bubbles! Additional car parking will be available in the football field next to the park, please follow the signs on the day.
Horndale Park – Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee, there will be 2 x small fairground rides and an inflatable play bed. For the Wicked fans out there, you can take part in a new exciting Wicked hunt. We will also be receiving a visit from the Bubble Man!
Aycliffe Village Park – Mr Twister will be amazing all the children with his fantastic magic show. There will be 2 small fairground rides, a large inflatable slide, big bubbles fun and a hunt to take part in.
Woodham Park – Mr Twister will be entertaining the children in the marquee, there will be 2 small fairground rides, a large inflatable and bumpy carz. You can take part in Crazy Golf, fun for all the family!
Please note height and age restrictions apply to inflatables, fairground rides, climbing wall and bungee trampolines.
