In Search of Community Heroes
Great Aycliffe Town Council launched its new Community Recognition and Awards Scheme in June 2022, which aims to recognise the often-unsung heroes of the local community.
We have already awarded some fantastic community-minded recipients and are asking Parish residents to nominate local individuals whom they feel are deserving of this award.
Nominations will be considered by the Council and successful nominees will be invited to a Council meeting and presented with a Community Recognition Scheme Certificate and Local Hero Medal by the Mayor.
