Membership Rules

MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  1. Booking and Cancellation
  • a) Booking Times: Bookings are taken from 09:00 until 20:45 each day or can be made online at any time.
  • b) Advance Booking: Members are allowed to book up to 14 days in advance. Payment is to be made at the time of booking.
  • c) Cancellation Policy:
  • Bookings may reschedule their bookings up to 48 hours before the scheduled time (only once per booking). Alternatively, members can receive a refund via reception, with a £1 administration fee applied. 
  • If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the play time, it will not be refundable.

 

  1. Membership and Card Usage
  • a) All memberships will run for a period of 12 months from date of joining.
  • b) Non-Transferable Membership: Membership/card numbers are strictly non-transferable.
  • c) Allowing someone else to book using your number will contravene your membership rights and may result in membership being withdrawn.

 

  1. Facility Usage
  • a) Sports Hall:
  • i) Activities: 5-a-Side, Badminton, Netball, Pickleball.
  • ii) Timing: 55-minute slots, on the hour.
  • iii)          Charges: Per game/court.
  • iv) Note: The 5-minute space is used by staff for changeover if goals need to be removed or replaced. Last booking at 21:00.
  • b) Table Tennis:
  • i) Timing: 55-minute sessions.
  • ii) Charges: Per table.
  • iii) Last booking at 21:00.
  • c) Squash:
  • i) Timing: 45-minute sessions.
  • ii) Charges: Per court.
  • iii) Last booking at 21:15.
  • iv) Note: Time is as per your booking, using a token to switch on the court lights. If you arrive late, you must vacate the court for the next players, even if your lights are still on. If there is no one following, you may play until your lights go out. Any other changes are at the discretion of the Management.
  • d) Bowls:
  • i) Charges: Per person, per time slot.
  • ii) First session: 09:00 – 10:30.
  • iii) Subsequent sessions: 2 hours each.
  • iv) Last booking at 20:30.
  • v) Slippers must be always worn on the bowling green (no outside shoes are permitted on the bowling green).
  • vi) Note: Slippers (most sizes) are available, if required, free of charge.
  • vii) Bowls can be hired.
  • e) Darts:
  • i) Charges: Per person, per time slot.
  • ii) First session: 09:00 – 09:30
  • iii) Last booking at 22:00.
  • iv) Users of the darts will be asked to leave if they are disturbing the bowls players or enter the green.

 

  1. Group Membership
  • a) Group Membership: Available for block bookings and organisations that want to book the facilities in advance (over 2 weeks), subject to agreement with the management.

 

  1. Equipment
  • a) Equipment Hire: Equipment for all sports can be hired at Reception for a small charge.
  • b) Purchasable Items: Balls for Table Tennis, Squash, Racket Ball, along with Shuttlecocks and Racquet Grips, can be purchased at Reception.
  • c) Safety Compliance: It will be a member’s responsibility to ensure that all the equipment or property brought onto the premises is in a safe condition and complies with all relevant safety regulations. The Council reserves the right to exclude any equipment or property it deems unsuitable.

 

  1. Security
  • a) The hirer acknowledges that this venue cannot be used as a platform for the dissemination of extremist views, access to facilities will be refused if it is found that any proposed content is thought to be harmful in any way, by way of inciting violence, hatred or extremism of any kind”.
  • b) Safety Arrangements: All members must familiarise themselves with and comply with the Councils risk assessments, fire safety arrangements, and other safety protocols.

 

  1. Council’s Rights
  • a) Cancellation by Council: The Council reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such a cancellation.
