Town Council Appoints New Mayor
New Mayor Appointed
At the Annual Meeting of the Council on Wednesday, 13th May 2026, Councillor Neil Collinson was duly elected to the appointment of Mayor of Great Aycliffe. The Chain of Office was handed to him by the previous Mayor, Ken Robson.
Councillor Collinson thanked the Council on his election as Mayor and is now looking ahead to a busy year visiting various residents and organisations around the parish and fundraising towards his chosen good causes; Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group and All Disabilities Matter.
