Community Groups

Community Groups from Aycliffe and the surrounding villages are encouraged to utilise the environmetal skills and knowledge that Great Aycliffe Town Council has to offer.

The Works and Environment Manager can offer various activities for interested groups.

The type of activities can include fun learning sessions such as pond dipping, minibeasting, nature trails, nature watching and much more.

Alternatively, a group may be interested in taking part in something slightly more energetic such as den making, basis orienteering or nature games. Older age groups can get a great deal from practical maintenance activities such as scrub bashing, tree planting or pond clearance to name a few options.
