Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative (2 posts)

Salary Scale 2(ii) Points 5-6 – £13.26 per hour

We’re looking for two enthusiastic, practical and hardworking people to join our team.

 

The position is ideal for individuals with experience in grounds maintenance, greenkeeping, or machinery operation.

 

As part of our friendly and dedicated team, you’ll help care for a wide range of community spaces including parks, play areas, cemeteries, allotments, the golf course, and other greenspaces.

 

Every day is different — your duties may include:

  • Planting and maintaining beautiful flower displays
  • Cutting and managing large grassed and open areas
  • Assisting with grave preparation
  • Hard landscaping tasks
  • Helping set up and support public events

 

We’re looking for candidates who have experience using commercial grounds maintenance machinery, such as strimmers, mowers (ride‑on experience is ideal), blowers, and/or experience working with annual and perennial planting schemes.

 

A full driving licence is essential.

 

Hours & Pay:

  • 41 hours per week
  • Typical hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:30am–4:30pm, and Friday 7:30am–3:00pm (may vary depending on work location or tasks)
  • £13.26 per hour
