Great Aycliffe Town Council proudly presents the much-loved Santa Tours, returning this Christmas with a brand-new format designed to spread festive cheer across the community.

Care Home Tour

On Christmas Eve morning between 10:00 and 11:30am, Santa will embark on a special Care Home Tour, visiting all six residential care homes in Newton Aycliffe. This heartfelt addition ensures that residents can enjoy the magic of Christmas with a visit from Santa himself. For times please click here.

Community Meet & Greet

Later that day, on Christmas Eve evening, Santa will be meeting and greeting families at 16 different locations around the Parish. This is a wonderful opportunity for children and adults alike to see Santa up close, share festive wishes, and soak in the magical atmosphere. For the locations please click here.

Street Tours

Adding to the excitement, Santa will also be driving along the main routes of Newton Aycliffe, waving from his cab as bells ring and Christmas music fills the air. Residents are encouraged to listen out for the sounds of the season and check the maps and sections to find the best viewing spots. Please note that street tour times are approximate, so keep an ear out for the jingling bells and festive tunes to catch Santa as he passes by.

Santa’s Grotto

In addition, there will be a Santa’s Grotto in the Town Centre on Christmas Eve from 11 am to 3 pm, organised by All Disabilities Matter. This special event offers families another chance to meet Santa in a festive setting and enjoy the magic of Christmas together.
